Sarpy Serenaders Barbershop Chorus Leadership

Sarpy Serenaders Barbershop Chorus thrives in part because of the commitment of the people in leadership. Here are a few of the people that make our ensemble tick:

Mark Butler

Mark Butler, President

Mark is a workaholic and, more importantly, an avid barbershopper.  He brings a wealth of leadership and management skills to the table and is known in the business world as the man to go to develop solutions to problems and implementation plans for their resolution. Mark sings bass and is equally comfortable singing with the chorus or in a quartet.

Jim Griffith,  Founder

Jim went to barbershop heaven in 2013, where I'm certain he is ringing still those barbershop chords. Jim was a 50 year barbershopper who founded the Sarpy Serenaders Chapter in 1987.  He was 87 years young and still ringing chords with the chorus and his Mutual Fun Company Quartet where he sang baritone.  A former CSD President, Jim was a driving force in barbershop.

Music Team

Bryce Anderson, Music VP

Bryce comes to us with a ton of talent.  He sings lead and is among the best Master of Ceremonies in Central States District and, for that matter,  within the Society.  His talent doesn't stop there, need a script?...Bryce is the guy who will turn out a great one for any theme.

Eddy Roush, Music Team Member

Eddy also is a long time barbershopper with the ability to compose and sing one of the strongest tenor parts you will ever hear.  No wonder he was selected to be the tenor section leader. Eddy sings tenor with the Been There Quartet, CSD Senior Quartet Champion, and Mutual Fun Company Quartet.

Dick Kimball, Music Team Member

Dick has more than 40 years singing experience barbershop music, and can direct, MC, and sing all four parts (seriously...though not simultaneously).  Dick has a real love of this wonderful craft of ours and always pushes us to improve our technique both visually and vocally.

Greg Kennett, Music Team Member

Greg is back singing after a 15 year absence to raise his family.  He comes to us with 17 years experience in barbershop singing and quickly picked up where he left off.  His experience in singing with many quartets and choruses makes him a valuable asset to the Music Team.  Greg also sings tenor for the Q Street Quartet.
